This guitar features a stylized Thunderbird, a powerful symbol to the Anishinabek people. The design is carved on the back, sides, and front - with the wings of the Thunderbird wrapping around to the front face.
"He rescues them" is a dichotomous image of the Great Deliverer who violently cuts us free from the chains of bondage and heals all of our diseases. His heart toward us is also soft and tender, like a hen to her chicks, He gathers us under His mighty wings.
